Unique convertible ball gown. This is really two dresses in one - the ivory-colored cocktail-style lace dress features a sweetheart neckline with a mid-back and a scalloped-edge on the bottom (the length comes just above the knees). The cocktail dress fastens up the back with a zipper and several small hooks. The cocktail dress is strapless but did come with attachable spaghetti straps that are adjustable, which I will include. The large ball gown skirt fastens over the shorter dress. The skirt is floor-length and made of multi-layered tulle in different lengths. the shorter, uppermost layers are lighter in color while the longer, bottom layers are a champagne color with a slightly pinkish tone in certain lighting. This skirt does have a train and is already bustled. Because the train is part of the bottom several layers of the skirt, the bustle required some innovation by my seamstress but turned out beautifully. The bustle consists of several small loops sewn into the bottom layers of the gown and fastens to several buttons which hide underneath the uppermost layers of the skirt so that once it is bustled, you really can't tell that the skirt actually is bustled or where (you can view the back of the skirt while bustled in the dancing image). My seamstress provided me with very detailed instructions on how the bustle works, which I have saved and will pass along (although it's so simple my bridesmaids and I didn't actually need the instructions). The skirt fastens over the cocktail dress at the waist - it has a short zipper and a couple small hooks to fasten. The beaded band is the top of the skirt and the back of the band is where the skirt is fastened over the cocktail dress. The size of the skirt is quite large, but the process of taking the skirt on and off is actually very easy. I have taken this dress on and off on my own several times, although I'd recommend assistance.

I knew from the moment I saw this dress that it was the one I wanted to wear on my wedding day. I specifically found a wedding gown retailer that carried the Bonny Bridal gowns so that I could try it on, and when I discovered that the retailer did not carry this specific gown, I paid to have the designer ship it to the retailer for me. After trying on several gowns, I knew that this was the one for me. I'm not someone who is very familiar with many different wedding gown designers and styles but I have never seen another gown that's quite like this one - I've yet to see one with a layered tulle skirt or a ball gown with a skirt quite this large, plus it's convertible.

A note on height: I am 5' 5.5" and I wore flats with this dress. The skirt was just a little too long for me but it worked fine, so I would say that if you're a bit taller or plan to wear heels, the length will probably be fine for you (the layers of the skirt and using a hoop skirt underneath really give a lot of leeway in terms of length).
